UK government launches online video news channel for public servants | Tweet |
The UK has been operating an online 'television' channel for public servants, LocalGovTV, featuring government initiatives and egovernment examples for some time now.
The service has now launched a regular news channel featuring the latest news on public sector developments within the UK.
While it is necessary to register to view the service, it contains some very interesting insights into what is occurring in public governance in Britain, particularly in the egovernment area (on topics such as Telecare).

This is a great channel - provides far more info into the market on the thinking of individuals in the local/government arena than the conventional UK government journal/conference platform approach.
ReplyDeleteGreat find Craig! Not sure that it's a UK gov lead exercise but lots of good content on there.
ReplyDeleteInteresting channel. Possibly better format that the other one in the market- http://www.thelocalgovernmentchannel.com/about_us/ - which has a strong link to the main industry publication - The MJ. Has been around for at least 2 years. Probably gets more coverage/links at present due to association with MJ sponsorship of the LGA conference.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Dominic Moran.
I'm the Executive Producer of LocalGovTV in the UK
Thanks for the kind words
It's not a UK Gov lead exercise, we make our living out of sponsorship.
I hope you continue to find the channel useful
Kind Regards
Dominic
